Just A Coincidence? Or Design?

Did you know that the oxygen level, within our air, is just enough to support combustion and human life?

Science has shown us that our air contains 20.9% oxygen. Other studies have shown that fire combustion can be initiated at approximately 16% oxygen, but cannot develop into and actually sustain fire, until the oxygen level rises to 18.9%. However, optimal usable combustion does not occur until oxygen level rises to, you guessed it, 20.9%. Another amazing scientific discovery is the if you raise the oxygen level to between 21.9% and 30%, combustion becomes unstable and explosive.

The other interesting thing is that the minimum oxygen concentration for human breathing is 19.5 percent. Below that brain and body cells began to die. For humans and many animals to sustain normal functions, the percentage of oxygen in our breathing environment must be within a small range. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration, OSHA, determined the optimal breathing range to be between 19.5 and 23.5 percent oxygen. As a matter of fact, once a human begins breathing oxygen levels above 23.5%, numerous health issues arise. With all that said, there are human activities, such as jet pilots, divers, etc. that breath higher levels of oxygen, but they require special training to do so.
Isn't amazing that our oxygen levels are exactly what we need to survive and propagate? You have to decide whether it's coincidence or design?

  1. Hi Keith,
welcome back, I hope you are feeling much better.
Regarding what you have written in your very informative post, I would say 'design' is the answer, design by the greatest designer this world could ever come to know (through Y'shua (Jesus, His Son)- our Father God.
God bless you and your family Keith.

  2. Hi Brenda!!! Thank You! Yes, I am feeling much better. I agree. I honestly consider myself a very reasonable person. I try to look things from many sides. With that said, I honestly can't comprehend how anyone could look at the evidence and arrive at a non-design conclusion, other than being influenced by the deceiver.

  3. Hi Keith, I'm also glad that you are back again.
And Yes ! the creator of heaven and earth is the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth and He created everything all ALONE (Isaiah 44:24).
That is because He is the Mighty God (Isa. 9:6) :-)

  4. Sorry Keith, had to delete first comment due to putting wrong chapter down.

You are right about it being hard to comprehend how anyone could look at the evidence and arrive at a non-design conclusion, other than being influenced by the deceiver. The deceiver is very cunning.

However God's plan of salvation through Y'shua (Jesus) was prophesied long ago in Isaiah ch. 9 and that God Almighty would accomplish this (v.7b).
It was also prophesied that the Spirit (Ruach) would come and lead us into all truth (John ch. 16 v. 13), and it was Y'shua (Jesus) himself Who said this.

We must always make sure, by taking every thought captive and bringing it into obedience to that written Word, that we are not deceived by what the enemy tries to put into the carnal mind.

  5. Paul, The scriptures are quite clear that it was the Word of Elohim, by which all things came into creation. All things, that were manifested or called into being by the mouth of Elohim. John 1 says the same thing. Instead of choosing passages that support your line of thinking, I hope one day you will read what all the scriptures say and put together the complete picture of the Messiah.

  6. Brenda, I agree. So many people, that I converse with, take the scriptures and construe them the way they were taught, instead of allowing Ruach to lead us along the rightful path. It's a shame. They make Satan's job so easy.

    1. Yes, we are in the time where even the elect will be deceived and that is why it is so important to take everything back to that written Word (or 'Let's see what the Lord says', as my father always said).

    2. Totally agree, Brenda. The word must be our anchor. Without being tethered to the anchor, we can blow any which way the wind does and interprete the will of God anyway we want.

  7. Well Keith, just read John 1:3 and take note, the whole chapter is talking about Jesus. Jesus made all things and nothing came into being apart from Him.
And don't say that some kind of another god made everything THROUGH Jesus.

And only those who believe in Jesus are the children of God verse 12 and not those who believe in another called Yahweh.

  8. How awesome is God's creative design. There is no doubt, it is by design.

    1. Thanks for your comment, Ken. I really don't understand how anyone could look at the complexity of our existence and come to any other conclusion.

  9. Hi Paul, let's look a little closer at John chapter 1. It appears that you have allowed the man made title of each chapter and erroneous Christian teachings of the last thousand years to influence your reading of it.

First of all, verses 5-8 are talking about John the Baptist, which automatically voids your comment, but I will not judge you on that.

Verses 1-4 clearly talks about the Word of God. The Bible clearly supports that all creation, after the initial creation of heaven and earth and Adam and Eve, was done by the word that proceeded out of the mouth of God.

After verses 4-8, where John bares witness to the Light, who is the Word of God, it goes on to tell us about the mission of the word of God, which is to either bring life or to judge. That light is now us, the remnant. Y'shua told us not to hide that light, but to shine to all men, who would except it. That light, which is the Word of God, does not make us God, but sons of God, born not of the flesh, but of the Spirit.

Then, in verse 14, it tells us that the Word of God was manifested in the flesh and that flesh came from God, in the form of his son.

Not reading actually what is written, not interpreting it, is being intellectually dishonest.

  11. Hi Keith, John 1:5-8 does not talk ABOUT John the Baptist, John testified to JESUS Christ just as I do and the whole Scripture does, and you supposed to believe our testimony.

John 1:1 – 4 is talking about JESUS, please read it in context.
Verse 10, tell me, who was in the world ?
It was Jesus of course, or should I say that it was GOD who came into this world ? Well, I can say it either way, both ways are correct.

And the light is JESUS who came into this world.
The light is NOT you and I, we both lived in darkness and you still don't recognize that this God who came into this world is the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Verse 14, here again, God is Spirit (John 4 :24) and was manifested in flesh. It doesn't say that God was manifested in someone else, a so called Son, absolutely NOT !

You need to believe in Jesus who is the God of all creation, and please read Col. 1:15 – 20.

  12. Paul, I hope that one day you'll read what's is actually written and understand. Yes, you are correct, God was clothed in the flesh, but not his own. The flesh is not God. It is man. Man, because it is man that had to be judged, not God. Therefore, it was a man, who was judged upon the cross, not God. How did God sin, that he justified judgement? That's preposterous. Think it through, man. God gave you a brain. Lean on the Spirit. There is no way God sinned or became sin. But, the man Y'shua, in which God clothed himself, performed the righteous act of the sacrifice required by God. Right before the sins of the world were placed upon Y'shua, God withdrew himself from the flesh of Y'shua, prompting Y'shua to cry out in anguish, "My God, My God, why have you left me?" God cannot leave himself. C'mon Paul. Use the brain that God gave you. Pray in the Spirit and think it through.

  13. Thank God for Jesus Keith, Who said 'Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.' Without Jesus' obedience to God's will we could not have been reconciled back to God.

  14. Amen, Brenda. It is utterly amazing how God perfected his plan, told us all about it through scriptural and natural prophecy and then perfectly guided the plan through fruition.

  15. Hi Keith! I like your new design here!
Your facts here are really something to think about. I'm not much for coincidences, I think God plans it all for me. So, I think he made us to live perfectly here on the beautiful earth he created for us. I think you more you learn about our world, the more convinced you become that God is an awesome God.
    Have a great weekend!

  16. Thanks, Ceil. I agree. Sometimes, coincidence is used as an excuse to ignore the obvious. Yes, indeed I think it was Tertilium that said,

“We conclude that God is known first through Nature, and then again, more particularly, by doctrine; by Nature in His works, and by doctrine in His revealed word.”

You have a great weekend, also.

  17. No my friend, it was God who was judged on the cross for MAN (kind), it wasn't a man on the cross who was judged for a man.

All man are sinners, and a sinner cannot take away the sins of others.
It is God who is without sin and He came in the form of a man and died for sinners.
There are NOT two who are without sins, a God and a Son. That is nonsense Keith, just use your God-given intelligence.

God did NOT leaf God on the cross, it is the Spirit that left the flesh which is called death.
The same was with Adam, the moment he sinned, the Spirit left the flesh which is called death, plainly, he died spiritually first and 930 years later also his body.
Jesus said those things on the cross for the people standing by.

  18. Hi Paul. You need to prove your position, with the Word of God, without twisting or contorting it.
