The Lie

Did you know the Bible tells us that, in the end times, even the elect, if possible, will be led astray by "The Lie"? For centuries, scholars have tried to figure what is universally presented as "The Lie". 2 Thess 2:11 and Matt 24:24.

As a matter of fact, I struggled with the concept, of how God's people could be led astray, so easily. However, over the past few years, it has become increasingly clear how this reality could come to fruition.

The media has become so adept at reshaping our perception, of reality, that we accept their version of the truth, without a second thought. This presidential election campaign is a great example of how lies become the truth.

In the short span of two decades, we have seen the clear social definition, of right and wrong, completely changed to what tickles our ears. "If it feels good, do it!" has become our mantra.

All this, as a result, from our media constantly bombarding us with lie after lie. With the overtaking of our educational system, it's obvious, that Satan has found his favorite end time tools of our destruction, leading the elect astray, if possible.

...and that's what you'll find, When You Search For The Truth.

  1. Hi Keith, we have the same problem over here in Australia, but that is the world and it only troubles me when those who claim to believe in God believe the lie.

  2. Hi Paul, this is one thing with which we are in total agreement. I just cannot fathom anyone not checking out the facts, before believing in a story. Unfortunately, that is exactly what the Bible tells us will happen, in the end time.

  3. It is only the Spirit that will lead us into all truth, which can only be found in the written Word of God. To the unbeliever it is a foreign language that can only be translated when they believe in Jesus. Although, it does say that no man can come to Jesus except he is drawn by God so there is a time to be spiritually born.

  4. Hi Brenda. I agree 100% with what you have written. I would also like to point out one word and that is 'lead'. The Holy Spirit leads us into all truth. Leading requires following. The Father calls us out of the wilderness, but it is our decision to follow that results in us gaining God's Truth.

  5. That is right Keith, we have a choice. We are told to not just be hearers of that word spoken to us, but doers of that word. ('But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.' James ch 1 v. 22) If we know the truth and wilfully go against that truth, then we are wilfully sinning against God. Adam and Eve heard what God said to them and questioned it and were put out of God's presence. We can do the same, that is why it says that many shall fall away in the last days and many false prophets will arise and mislead many (Matthew 24 v. 10).
