God Will Hold Us Responsible For How We Vote????

Did you know that God will hold us responsible for how we vote in political elections? We are called, as God’s stewards, to manage, that which belongs to God. While God has graciously entrusted us with the care, development, and enjoyment of everything he owns as his stewards, we are responsible to manage his holdings well and according to his desires and purposes.

Although God gives us “all things richly to enjoy,” nothing is ours. Nothing really belongs to us. God owns everything; we’re responsible for how we treat it and what we do with it. While we complain about our rights here on earth, the Bible constantly asks, What about your responsibilities? Owners have rights; stewards have responsibilities.

Even if you don't believe in God, remember to vote, not along party lines, but as a steward that has been given the upmost responsibility, to take care of this planet and our fellow human beings and especially, our children.

  1. Hi Keith,
It is so good that God sees the end from the beginning, and every day of our lives is written in His book before even one of them was formed. I have been watching the US election run up on the news and, whatever happens and whoever gets in, I believe it will work together to eventually be a part of fitting prophesy foretold in the scriptures.

  2. Hi Brenda, We are in agreement. Even though I will vote responsibly and I think that America is going the wrong direction, I do believe it will work out, in the end, according to his will.

  3. Brenda, if God sees the end from the beginning, does He see the end in a crystal ball ? :-)

  4. Paul, in a very basic way of explaining it, God has a point of view, similar to a pilot hovering, in a helicopter, over a parade. If you are in the parade, you can only see what is happening in your locality. However, as the pilot can see from the beginning to the end of the parade, God can see from the beginning to the end of our time-space. God is omnipresent, as the Scriptures say.

As I do not believe that God controls every moment of our time, he does fine tune it every once in a while, as it is obvious in the fine-tuning of our universe. He gives us free will, to do whatever we want. That is why it is so pleasing to him, when we obediently, as his son did to the cross, do his will.

  5. Isaiah ch. 46 v. 10 Paul:-
'Declaring the end from the beginning,
And from ancient times things that are not yet done,
    Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand,
And I will do all My pleasure,’

I don't think that God needs a crystal ball Paul, as every day in our lives is written in His book before even one of them is formed. Psalm 139 v. 16.

His ways are definitely not our ways, I have to admit Paul, I am amazed at how many scriptures you question.:-)

  6. Brenda, I did not ask you whether He declarers the end from the beginning, I have asked you 'does He see the end in a crystal ball ?'

Thanks Keith, that sounds a little better, but not good enough.
The end and tomorrow has not happened yet, and He only knows what He is going to do the next hour and tomorrow.
The feature has not happened yet.

  7. I did say what I think Paul,
regarding a crystal ball - that God does not need one, but to give you a simple answer, no Paul God does not see the end in a crystal ball.

  8. Paul, that position is not scriptural. Please read Amos 3:7. I was going to say more but, as always, God's Word says it all.

"Surely, God does nothing without first revealing it to the prophets."
