Where Are All The Children of G-d?

Recently, due to changes to the "hierarchy"[sic] of our church, Karrin and I had began a search for another group of believers, with which to worship on the sabbath. As we search, one thing continually came to the forefront. Where are the true believers, the B'nai Elohim, the Chidren of G-d, the Bridegroom of the Messiah.

As you read this, please understand that I do not put myself into an elite group. No, I am just a child of G-d desparately looking for true believers with which to commune. It is harder and harder to find them. Not to say that all that is within our small little congregation are not true believers, but it amazes me how many continue to follow traditional and false teachings because of a charasmatic individual or individuals.

At this point, most people will say, "Is really possible to understand the whole Word of G-d?". The answer is yes. The real questions are, "Are we willing to submit ourselves to the leading of the Spirit?" or "Are we lazy and let others tell us what G-ds Word says?". The latter is 2nd hand knowledge of your savior, not the true relationship our G-d wants with us.

This leads me back to the original question, "Where are the children of G-d?". Are we in the midst of what the Bible calls the "Great Falling Away" in II Thessalonians 2:3?

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first..."

So then, who are the true B'nai Elohim. Are you out there? I would love to talk to you.

Love,

A brother in the Messiah.

  1. I am sad to hear that you are searching out a new place to call your church "home". I guess I don't understand what specific teachings you are referring to because you are very vague so I can't speak of those. I think we are all responsible for our personal relationship with Christ so unfortunately that means there will be people who will choose not to do so on their own but use church as their means of spiritual growth. I am sorry that you felt so many did not do that, but even more so that you seem to feel the messages were or are not based on Word. At least that is what I am gathering from your post. I hope that you find what you are looking for, but most of all I implore you to meet with the leadership of the church you are leaving and at least express your concern. You have been a valuable part of our church and you will be missed greatly.

  2. Hey Kim,

I'm sorry but I think you missed the flavor of this blog entry. Also, you read so much into it that wasn't there. Please re-read the blog and keep in mind the following:

    1. You assumed that this blog is about your church. It is not. We have never celebrated the Sabbath with you. You celebrate on Sundays which is not the Sabbath.

    2. Your church is not the only one having or has had recent leadership difficulties. It is a pretty wide spread problem within the Body of Christ. Therefore, don' assume it is your church.

With that said, the blog is about the sad condition the Body of Christ, in general, is in. This became evident during our time with other congregations.

You mentioned our church home. I know that this may sound foreign to you, but there is no such thing on earth. I'm a firm believer that our church home will be when we finally go home. I'm reminded of the old hymn that says<

"This world is not my home. I'm just a passing through."

The church should be an outreach that points to home not be the home itself.

You mentioned "specific teachings" and "being so vague". As you read this blog, I hope and pray that I am vague when speaking about certain body of believers. I don't air out the laundry of others. What I do is put out the truth and let the Spirit convict those who are doing the contrary.

If you wish to talk about what your church, I will only do it within the confines of your church on a constructive basis as I have always done.

I hope this comes across correctly. It is so hard to write and convey the right emotion and correct context.

I will continue to serve at your church at your leisure. However, I am part of the whole body not just your church. I hope you feel the same.

With all that said, tell Todd that the furnace is completely done. He can quit whinning about the heat. :-) LOL We even put a brand new fancy thermostat in his office.

Your brother always in the Messiah,
    Keith

  4. Thank you for clarifying this, Keith! I am relieved and very grateful that you were not talking about our church and even more that you will continue to serve with us. :) I am sorry I misread your post (I have had the same done to mine in the past). I reread it several times, but with the idea that you were talking about Sunday. I really was thrown off because I could not see you as a divisive person, that is why I was inclined to respond!
I agree that the Body of Christ has missed the mark in many areas and we have lost focus on our calling. I have faith though that God will continue His work in us if we are willing to seek His perfect will for our lives.
    Sincerely,
    Kim
