Access To The Garden Of Eden?

Did you know that the Garden of Eden is still around?

Many Jews and Christians,  if asked, believe that it was an ancient garden, that existed in the Middle East, that has given way to the ravages of time. As a matter of fact, there has been many documentaries on TV, YouTube, etc., concerning the ancient location of the garden. Many try to locate it by using the geographical information found within the bible. However, no one has been successful, leading scholars to speculate that it is under water, within the Persian Gulf.

What most people don't know is that access, to the Garden, is still possible, by man. How do I know? Well, think about it. Would God waste resources, by having the most powerful angels guarding it, if it wasn't accessible? In Genesis 2:9 and Revelation 22, the Bible clearly shows that Eden and, at least, the Tree of Life, are still there, but are being block by Cherubim, with flaming swords.

So why hasn't someone found it? Quite simple. Within the Garden, the Tree of Life can be found. If we believe what the Bible tells us, anyone who eats from the Tree of Life, lives forever. The Bible tells us that sin cause death and blinds us to the truth. Does that mean that we can't see the entry to the Garden and the Tree of Life, because of our sin. I think the answer can be found in old Jewish teachings.

We are told that Adam and Eve and all creation, resembled God and reflected his Shekinah. Moses showed this phenomena, when God have him the Law on Mt. Sinai. Also, when Elisha prayed for God to reveal the spiritual army protecting them, to his servant and when God separated the light from the darkness. So, were Adam, Eve, Angels, etc., clothed in the light of his Glory? Was this clothing of light part of the dimensionality, man lost, when they sinned? You see, the ability to see or perceive the spirit dimension was lost. As time went on and man indulged further and further into his sinfulness, he lost his spiritual sight.

Now, with the sacrifice, of the Messiah, for mankind's sin, and the Remnant's desire to walk closely with God, can our spiritual eyes be opened, making access to the garden possible or at least catch a glimpse of it? I don't know. However, one thing I do know, when we do obtain our new bodies, bodies again clothed in light, after the resurrection, we will have full access to the Garden and the Tree of Life. We will have full access to it's twelve kinds of fruit, with it's root system straddling the river, which flows from the Throne of God. As for me, I think it will be pretty cool.

  1. Well my friend, that's a nice story, whether true or false, it profits nobody a thing.

Personally I think that it is a lot better than that.
It seems to me like a carrot in front of a rabbit who never gets the goods :-)

  2. Do you really think that the Garden of Eden is accessible? If I understand correctly, you think that as we sin, the clothing of light disappears and it is that loss of light or dimensionality that causes us to not see it? Also, I have heard that Adam and Eve were clothed in light. Does the bible say that? If not, how did you come to that belief?

  3. Well, Paul. It's ok to speculate, at times, as long as it is based on the truth.

You are going to have to explain the carrot comment. I'm sorry...don't get, when applied to this post.

  4. Hey Sheryl, Yes, I believe that the Garden is accessible. We were created in God's image, but lost something big, when we fell from grace. I honestly believe that we lost a part of ourselves, that will be regained, with the new body, and that is a fully spiritual dimensionality and accessibility to the spiritual realm.

As for Biblical references, concerning being clothed in light. Genesis 1:26 indicates that man was created in God's image. In Psalm 104:2, it tells us that God clothes himself in honor, majesty and light, which are dimensions, outside our time space. If God created man, in his own image, I would expect that to include clothing of light.

  5. Keith, It you push your idea a little further, God has the same senses as we do, only hyper-sensitive. That could explain his omni-attributes. You're right. It will be cool.

  7. It's intriguing to think that the Garden is part of the spiritual world, which is just outside our perception. Do you think that the garments of light could be representative of a type of lens or ability? Thanks for the biblical reference about the clothing. It makes sense.

  8. I like the thought of this. But I see issues with it. If the tree of life was supposed to keep us living, wouldn't that be a physical trait? And if it is physical then it wouldn't be spiritual.

I don't think it is accessible per se. I believe Jesus cross is now the tree of life. I think it would be fascinating if the cross Jesus was crucified on was carved by Him when He was younger, grown in the Garden of Eden and preserved by God until Jesus came. This way no man can ever say they "killed" Him.

But in my personal opinion, I think the garden of eden is hidden by Antarctica. The most inaccessible piece of land known to mankind. Pangea And it lines up with the tectonic movement after the flood and so forth. Just a thought.

  9. Hey Cheryl, I like the lens analogy. I believe that the spiritual world coexists, beside our physical world, just slightly out of focus. :-) LOL sorry, I couldn't resist the pun.

  10. Hey Tim, I agree, if our true existence consist of our physical world. However I believe this physical world is the result of sin and will disappear, once we regain full dimensionality with God. Therefore, the tree of life, gives us true life. Jesus is the key and door and the tree. I believe that is what he was saying when he said, "I am the way (door), the truth, (key), and the life (tree of life)no one comes to the father, but by me."

Our physical existence will burn away, giving way to any impedance to the physical realm.

I agree that actual access is not possible while we are in the fallen realm. However, do you not find it interesting that God placed cherubim with flaming swords to prevent access, if it wasn't accessible? I don't know the answer. I just posed the question.

    I like the Antarctic theory.
