Have You Heard Of The Ipuwer Papyrus?

Did you know that there is a papyrus, which was found in Egypt, dating back, somewhere between 3500-4000 years ago, that actually supports the Biblical ten plaques account, while atheist and other non-believers continually proclaim that the Bible has no secular supporting evidence?

The Ipuwer Papyrus is an Egyptian eyewitness account of the  writers concerns, sent to the Pharaoh, which includes the 10 plagues, as dictated within the book of Exodus. If you research this papyrus, you will find that there are many that claim there are loads of contradictions. However, when confronted to produce these contradictions, they can list only one and it has nothing to do with the plagues. They also mention a time contradiction, without admitting that there is no definitive time era, in which either was written.

Bottom line: Both the book of Exodus and Ipuwer Papyrus state the plagues occurred. You can read them for yourselves, in the side-by-side comparison, at the link below.

  1. Absolutely beautiful Keith,
this papyrus is back-up confirmation of 'IT IS WRITTEN'.
Why everyone would not rejoice at this revelation I do not understand.

I love what you have written here:-
'They also mention a time contradiction, without admitting that there is no definitive time era, in which either was written'

  2. Thanks, Brenda. We are told, day after day, that there isn't any archeological support for what is written, in the Bible. However, that is a lie. Satan is very active in his deception. The sad thing is that our children are being led astray because we are not challenging that assertion.

  3. Keith, the Bible is the written Word of God and it does not need any supporting evidence, not even from the dead see scrolls or any other writings.

But there are always some who believe the Bible and others who don't believe it and those who are not sure and doubt.

  4. Hey Paul, I agree that the Bible doesn't need any supporting evidence or documentation. However, it is out there and it is our responsibility to dig it out and have it ready to discuss.

"...but treat the Messiah as holy, as Lord in your hearts; while remaining always ready to give a reasoned answer to anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you — yet with humility and fear" 1Peter 3:15

  5. I have to be honest Keith,
I think that just hearing about this papyrus and how it lines up with what is written in the scriptures will fascinate, and cause many unbelievers to seek the Lord.

  6. I agree, Brenda! Any levelheaded person should look at this and at least, look into the validity of the Bible and open themselves to the leading of the Spirit.
