Immanuel means “with us is God” or “God
is for us” or
“God will keep us(safe)”.
All three are acceptable interpretations.
Jesus is the Latin version of the Hebrew name, Y’shua, which means “God
Saves” or “God
is our Salvation” or “God will keep us Safe”.
In Hebrew, Immanuel
and Y’shua(Jesus)
means the same thing.
